Mary Morton, CPC
More than two decades of hands-on experience, together with a scientific educational background and an ever-growing network of relationships within the industry, have earned Mary a reputation in the biopharmaceutical market as a recruiter who will take the necessary steps to make employer/employee matches that are “right” instead of simply “right now.” Throughout the years, Mary has been integral in keeping her clients staffed for success, including initial strategy development for building and expanding field medical teams, as well as meeting the constant demand for quality MSLs to fill existing roles.
Mary graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, College of Natural Sciences, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and additional studies in UT’s College of Pharmacy. This education has been invaluable in allowing her to grasp the scientific concepts behind the products her clients develop and produce, so that she can speak substantively with both clients and candidates, rather than just memorizing and reciting buzzwords. In addition to her scientific background, Mary has been a student of specialized personnel recruitment since entering the field, and, after a rigorous examination on employment law and business ethics, she obtained the title of Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) in 1997, issued by the National Association of Personnel Services, the recruiting industry’s leading professional organization. She maintains her certification through continuing education programs.
Anyone who knows Mary knows of her love for great music and spending time with her family. When not at work, Mary and her husband, Bill, are attending live music shows or watching their two children do what they love: Paige is an equestrian who competes in cross-country jumping and dressage, and Liam is active in both baseball and golf.

Monica Singer, CPC
Monica has over 15 years’ experience as a recruiter and account manager in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. She is CPC certified and holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Systems from the University of North Texas in 1996. Monica prides herself in building long-term relationships with clients and candidates. Her recruitment specialty is placing MSLs. She enjoys the changing dynamics of the profession, and learning about the career progression and achievements of her candidates.

Nicole Evans, CPC
Nicole is a founding member of the SEMbio team and she brings with her twenty years of recruiting experience in Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Device, and Engineering. In her many years of industry experience, Nicole has had the fortunate opportunity to work with candidates and change peoples’ lives in relation to positive career moves. Additionally, she has had the fortunate opportunity to work with various client companies to partner in the recruitment efforts based solely on their needs. Her goal is to ensure both her candidates and clients a fulfilling and successful experience. Nicole has built a reputation as a professional, talented, and detail oriented staffing partner and her success may largely be credited to her ability to maintain strong relationships with her biotech and pharmaceutical industry contacts. Nicole enjoys strategically building and expanding field medical teams for her clients. Her ability to stay focused and organized has earned her the respect of her candidates, clients, as well as her colleagues. Nicole values integrity, ethics, and a strong sense of loyalty to those whom she works with.
Nicole graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science in 1996. Nicole is also a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) which was earned through the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) in 1999; she strives for excellence in her field and also remains certified through continuing education programs.
When Nicole is out of the office, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Kenny. She loves music, and is a strong advocate for animal charity programs.

Ashley Gulledge, CPC
Ashley is a graduate from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management, is CPC certified and has been a Recruiter and Researcher with SEMbio for nearly 3 years. She enjoys building relationships with her candidates and placing them in companies they are truly passionate about. In addition to recruiting, Ashley has had the opportunity to create slide decks and present on transitioning into industry at universities throughout the US.
Outside of the office, you can find Ashley reading, playing with her 2 labs or going to weekly trivia with the rest of the SEMbio team.

Lawrence Beck, CPC
Lawrence joined SEMbio in 2011. He attended Texas Tech University on a path that led him to obtaining his Master’s degree in Sports Management. But within a couple of years of working in sales in the sports world, the opportunity to be a recruiter arose and has led to an exciting career with SEMbio. He is also a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), which provides continued education on best business practices and standards of ethics in recruiting. He enjoys recruiting Medical Science Liaisons because they are an intellectual, sociable, and professional group of people to interact with every day.
When he’s not recruiting, Lawrence enjoys using his free time to go kayaking, play hockey, and contributing to SEMbio’s blog.

Crecia Magee, CPC
Crecia obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University. Crecia is CPC certified and has been with SEMbio for 5 years working as a Senior Recruiter and Account Manager. She values integrity and building lasting relationships with her clients and candidates. Her favorite part about her job is the fulfillment that comes along with helping people find the perfect job/candidate. She believes that life is way too short, so you should enjoy it- and since you spend most of your day at work, so you should be doing something you love (or at the very least don’t hate).
When Crecia isn’t working, she enjoys being outside, hanging out with her dogs, spending time with her family, traveling the globe, playing trivia, and singing karaoke.

Melinda Cochrum, CPC, CTS
While new to SEMbio, Melinda is a veteran in the recruiting industry. She has been a recruiter and manager for 8 years prior to taking on the absolute most important job in her life for the past 12 years, that of raising her two boys, Ben and James. Melinda is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, minor in Computer Science. Melinda is also a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (CTS) which means she is very knowledgeable on employment laws and business ethics. Melinda is passionate about helping others find what is not only the best fit for the candidate, but the best fit for the client as well. She thoroughly enjoys and appreciates the relationships built when helping a candidate with a life changing career move.
When not at work, you can find Melinda engaging her boys and their activities, playing with her dogs, volunteering at a local homeless shelter and enjoying priceless time with close friends and family. She feels blessed to be surrounded by such amazing individuals.
